Writing a comic involves very very specific visual description. In a book, I have to suggest the visual in broad strokes so that (hopefully!) the reader’s mind does the rest of the work and brings it alive.
It’s affected my comics writing in one serious way: a page of a novel radiates more information than one page of a comic, and so after finishing GUN MACHINE comics felt very light and empty to me. It was weird.
